I have been diagnosed with Anxiety-Depression since yesterday, and as such, am taking a hiatus from any and all online activities.

For the sake of my mental health and well-being, this means I won't be active on here, Instagram or Discord until November 12th.

Go with God, ladies and gentlemen.

On slightly more serious news, I have decided that I will be boycotting Hasbro. Meaning, I will not be watching Power Rangers Dino Fury or supporting the toyline.

Let me explain why;

Their moral principles have all the flexibility of a Stretch Armstrong doll; one minute commenting about the need for diversity, only to drop it when it harms their bottom line. If you can't trust them to stick with their guns, then you shouldn't trust them with your money.

Their gross disrespect for Union actors (how they treated Peter Cullen in the Bumblebee Movie and their hiring of non-Union actors for Netflix’s SIEGE), treating them as damaged goods.

The inconsistent quality control in their products, making every purchase akin to a game of Russian Roulette where the consumer can’t tell if they’re getting a good product or not.

The unreasonably greedy price hikes, charging more money for figures made with fewer plastic (see also their Dino Megazord, which costs thirty-five dollars for one Zord each).

The HasLab shitstorm, using Kickstarter to fund playsets and vehicles without guaranteeing quality control or transparency.

Their refusal to fix distribution rates, despite many complaints from fans regarding scalpers and shelfwarming in areas.

Their poor management of the GI Joe and Star Wars licenses, the former having stagnated since 2013 and the latter leeching off customers' nostalgia.

Removing Jason Bischoff from his creative position as producer for Power Rangers, despite his immense passion for the franchise. Only to replace him with someone whose resume includes 'The End Of The F*cking World' and 'I'm Not Okay'.

Deciding to part ways with Toei without planning to adapt ANY of the five seasons they missed, nor with any experience in handling live-action properties.

AND their proven track record of incompetence in managing Allspark Studios. Combined with greenlighting a Cinematic Universe, headed by the guy who wrote “Fuck Batman.”.

Mark my words; before 2022 is over, the fanbase will be begging for Bandai America.

I know what you’re all probably thinking. I’ve been gone for months and nary a note has been replied to.

There’s a reason for my lengthy absence. Partially because I’m mostly active on Discord, but also because I’ve been working on a very special project. Which you can find on YouTube and SoundCloud.

Rest assured that, once I get my act together, you’ll be seeing more activity here.

Wokebrain/Progressive Tryhard: "Wait, you're attracted to someone of the opposite sex AND the same sex? -gasps- That must mean you're Gay!"

Today, I wish to toss in my two cents and expose this misconception for what it is; trite pandering.

I blame Tumblr and the Usual Suspects [*cough*Marvel, LucasFilms, IDW, CBS, Disney, puppet companies under Disney hopping on the Pride Month bandwagon*cough*] for promoting this asinine misconception. That if you're a woman who has romantic/sexual relations with men AND other women, you're automatically shipped in the same category as a man who has romantic/sexual relations with other men. When that's the furthest thing from the truth.

Contrary to what the fairytale image concocted by people with way too much free time and too much money to spend would have you believe, I'll spell it out here; if you are Gay, it means that you have a romantic attraction toward other men. It does not mean the same as you finding both men AND women attractive. That is called Bisexuality.

But that's not even the worst part. You see, Bisexuality Representation in Media is both the safest and the most annoying kind of Representation. Want to have a girl kissing another girl to show how progressive you are, but don't want to piss off the censors? Just say they're Gay and move on. So what if the characters involved previously hung out with male characters, and by mixing up Bisexuality with Homosexuality, we're pushing out the one group in the media that's been constantly fucked over and misrepresented as weak-willed self-destructive pansies or pedophiles, in exchange for one tumblrite's half-assed headcanon between two women who've barely spoken to each another? If we say they're Gay, the fangirls will justify our slacktivism for us by saying we're progressive. When in reality, it's to LGBT representation what the Kiddy Pool is compared to a Swimming Pool.

The term Gay refers to an orientation between one man and another man. It is not, and has never been, meant to be used as a cheaply-made umbrella term for lesbianism, bisexuality, intersexuality, transgenderism [which isn't a sexual orientation, but rather transitioning from one sexuality to the other], etc. that you can slap on a business sign and call it a day. When you keep peddling this misconception, all you wind up with is an ocean of Korrasamis.

And it's a fine mess, indeed. Notes'll be a bitch to sort through, favoriting deviations is fiddly as a drunken fiddler crab playing Limbo and I've a strong feeling a good number of my friends will leave because of it.

Congratulations. You managed to make Tumblr 2 Point-Blow. I hope LucasFilms decides to take a page out of this wretched update.
